Hello Dolphins! Welcome to Mrs. Kostrzebski's and Mrs. McNeely's counseling webpage!
We are so happy to be your school counselors at OBES.

As your school counselors, we are here to assist all students grow academically, personally, and vocationally.  That means that we are here for YOU; to help you be the best student you can be, to help you develop into a trustworthy and caring friend, and explore with you your interests and talents that may lead to a future career.

We will work together throughout the school year individually, in small groups, and in classroom guidance sessions.  Remember that we are here for you, so do not hesitate to find either of us whenever you need help!

Office hours for parents: 8:15 - 9:00 and 3:00 - 3:45.  Stop by anytime!

Counseling Office Happenings
Dolphin Tickets
Staff at OBES love to hand out Dolphin Tickets to students who display good character.  Students can be recognized for acts of respect, caring, citizenship, responsibility, fairness, or trustworthiness.  Tickets are drawn for each grade level and winners are announced on the morning news Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and winners receive a small prize.  Ask your student if he/she has earned a Dolphin Ticket lately!
The Counseling Program
The Military Deployment Support Group meets once a month to discuss the different stages that families go through when a military parent deploys. We also celebrate our military students and discuss the changes in their lives. New members are welcome to join at any time throughout the year.
We are happy to pair up with varsity athletic teams at Woodbridge Senior High School to help mentor some of our fourth and fifth graders in reading and leadership skills. We are so fortunate to be sponsored by the Readers Are Leaders program!
